Rules Page

Please take the time to read the rules as it is for your benefit!!!

Flag Rules We will race using the standard ARCA flag rules with the following exceptions.

Starts & Restarts Each driver should maintain a steady distance behind the car in front until the Start/Finish Line is crossed... which means your bumper should not "cross the plane" of the rear bumper of the driver ahead. So there must be a gap between your bumpers, weather you go high or low, until the S/F Line is crossed. At the same time you must keep a steady close distance, without falling to far back as that may allow for a timed jump start.

It is understood that all starts/restarts are not smooth and perfect... sometimes there are checkups, someone may miss a shift or start in the wrong gear. So here is the deal, if you infringe upon this rule for any reason (accidentally or not) and get next to a car before the S/F Line, you will have until the end of the lap to fall back behind the driver until you are clear again. At that point you may attempt a pass and you will not receive a penalty. So everyone will have a chance to "right their wrong".

This is not automatically enforced in the game as it will allow you to get next to the car in front as long as your nose is not past his before the S/F Line. So we will have to review and enforce an adjustment /penalty after each race if necessary so please police yourselves. The sole purpose of this rule is to minimize the amount of cautions bread from cautions.

Green White Checker There will only be 1 attempt at a green white checkered flag. We can't change that setting on the server without modifying the RFM files so there will not be an automatic end to the race after the first G/W/C, but we figured out a way around it. After the first G/W/C, if there is another caution the field will naturally be frozen, the pits will be closed and we will force it to go green on the next lap... on the start everyone will just continue to hold pace speed and their position for the remaining 2 "green" laps to ensure an end to the race without an additional caution. All laps until the checkered flag will be official so if you run out of gas or cannot complete the last 2 "green pace laps" due to a mechanical reason, then you will lose your position.

With this rule we can have a strategy plan ahead in each race knowing there will be a limit to 1 G/W/C. Just make sure you have enough fuel for the worst case scenario which is to run 1 G/W/C plus another 3 laps. Don't forget some of those laps will be pace speed so calculate accordingly.

Cautions We will be using the Lucky Dog Pass, therefore when a caution comes out, the field is frozen. Drivers should make it a point to fall into the spot they were in when the flag came out... please do not race to gain a position or a lap back. It is understood that sometimes it may be necessary to pass a car to avoid contact right after the yellow flag drops and it may take a moment to fall back in to place but please try to work it out before you cross the start/finish line.

Under Cautions Pace laps leading up to starts and restarts can be difficult for us all to stay in harmony. We feel it will be smoother if we eliminate the tire scrubbing and weaving back and forth and maintain an even spacing between us. Please keep the race car on the racing surface at all times. By following these actions will help eliminate issues that happen under yellow as all drivers will know where the cars are around them at all times.

Racing Etiquette This should be short and self explanatory. Please know when to race someone and know when to let someone by. Please hold your lines and be respectful to everyone on TeamSpeak and on the track. No dive passing. If you don't have your front bumper up to the drivers door going into the corner then you must back out and try to make the pass next time. This will go along way in earning you respect from other drivers.

Incident Rules If a driver has 2 "blatant" incidents in a race, that driver should park it. A blatant incident is considered a self spin or causing a wreck in a manner in which it was solely 1 driver's fault. If an incident was a result of a racing deal or the incident was the result of more than 1 driver's actions, then that does not count as a blatant incident. If a driver gets involved in a couple incidents but he is not sure weather 2 blatant incidents are deserved, then just stay in the race and the replay will be reviewed later by an admin.

Gentlemen Agreement Not A Rule I know a lot of us at times have been having issues with being able to see our pit box coming up while we are heading down pit road. We are all looking for the glowing red square so we can identify our stall in time but it can be hard to spot because sometimes the cars ahead are driving far to the left side of pit road and it blocks the view. One thing that can help eliminate this is if we all agree to stay single-file in the right lane/side when approaching our stalls and then cut to the left as late as you comfortably can.

Also, be conscious of driving through other people's stalls when you go to pull in to yours... only cut into the guys stall behind yours if you have to (some tracks are too tight not to) but do it as little as possible.

Communications Related Rules It is required that each driver join our TeamSpeak channel during each event so we can all get important information to everyone quickly. Making any negative comments to other drivers absolutely will not be tolerated. During green flag racing, drivers are trying to concentrate so please limit TeamSpeak chatter to race related communication only. If you have a problem with another driver, handle it after the race, either in another channel or in a private e-mail, LIKE GENTLEMEN.
